What Ever Happened to Dinosaurs?

What’s the Deal With Dinosaurs?

Very few species of animals are mentioned in the Bible. In the book of Genesis chapter 1 we read that God created all living creatures of the sea, of the earth and of the sky, and labels them in the most general terms: cattle and creeping things etc.

Only those animals that are valuable or significant to humanity are mentioned in the Bible specifically, such as oxen, goats, sheep, etc. The truth is there are many animals not specifically named in the Bible.

Some believe that Leviathan (an animal we find in the book of Job chapter 3&41) is a fire-breathing dragon. Some disagree though.

Lack of mention of dinosaurs means little, other than that they did not come into the history of mankind in a way significant or necessary to record. The truth that dinosaurs existed is apparent from fossil records of the great dinosaur beds, presumably preserved by a catastrophe, such as a world-wide flood. Also, there are records of dinosaur footprints along with human footprints.

I understand that unless sediments which entrapped them hardened quickly into stone, their bodies would have decomposed, leaving no record at all. But what we have are whole bodies intact. A catastrophe such as a flood would explain having such remains.

We can conjecture that either dinosaurs didn't make it onto Noah's ark because, plausibly, God intended them to become extinct at that time, or that because of climatic condition after the flood, they failed to reproduce in sufficient numbers and died out.

A great book to purchase is Answers by Josh McDowell and Don Stewart. You can buy it on www.Amazon.com I'm sure. I used this book to help answer your question. It also has a lot of other answers regarding the Bible, Jesus, and anything else you can think of. Also a good website to peruse is www.equip.org
