Baptism
If your child is interested in being baptized and you would like more information please contact our Director of Children's Ministry, Velma Foreman at the church office (924-5002, ext. 249). Our next baptisms will be during all four of our worship celebration services on October 17. A special class for all elementary and middle school age students will be on Saturday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m. led by Pastor Brett, in room 203. Please call the church office (924-5002) with any questions or to let us know you would like to be baptized.
Infant/Child Dedication
While a dedication ceremony does not pass on salvation to a child, it is a way for parents to publicly thank God for the blessing of their child and to promise to God they will raise their child to know, honor, respect, and obey God and to love and serve Jesus Christ. The parent's goal in raising their child in this way is that their child will choose salvation for him or herself when he or she is mature enough to do so, and it is Discovery's promise to support parents as they do this.
Children's Basketball
The Children's Basketball League is for both boys and girls in third, fourth, and fifth grade.
