Favorite Bible verse and why?:
Luke 15:23-24 - It's a perfect analogy to my life. I was raised in the Catholic church (although I never really took it seriously), but stoped attending when I was in my teens. OK, I did more than just stop attending, I actively pursued a worldly lifestyle and got involved in just about every bad thing you can think of. In my early 30s I felt the Holy Spirit drawing me back, but I was afraid God wouldn't accept me any more. While sitting in church one day these verses came up and it hit me between the eyes. I couldn't have been more wrong about God's unwillingness to accept me back with open arms. I was baptized shortly thereafter and have never looked back.
What do you like about Thursday nights?:
The energy. It's exciting to see the kids getting involved and taking Christ seriously.

When did you become a Christian?:
I don't know the exact date, but it was some time in late 1995/early 1996. I was baptized in April 1996.

What is something you wish you knew when you were in middle school?:
I wish I knew Christ at that time. It would have (hopefully) saved me a lot of pain and heartache and prevented me from doing some of the stupid things I did.
